Stella by Stella McCartney

Stella McCartney Beauty has launched about a year ago. We know Stella McCartney to stand for a progressive luxury and environmentally conscious brand. Benefiting from a partnership with LVMH Beauty division in 2019, Stella has been able to develop and offer a conscious and minimalist skincare line composed of three essential products. One of her motto being “only use what you need”.

It is not the first time that Stella McCartney ventured into the world of cosmetics. She launched a fragrance in 2003 and a skincare line named Care (with YSL Beauty) in 2006. This latest had to be pulled due to regulatory challenges in the US with the organic labelling.

The line aims to offer an alternative to luxury skincare by caring for ourselves and the planet (Mother earth) at the same time. All products formulas are made with at least 99% natural-origins ingredients. The remaining 1% being synthetic substances being there to protect the product integrity overtime. The reset cleanser, alter care serum and restore cream are all available in an eco-conscious refill. They are housed in recycled glass bottles and can be refilled with soft packaging pouches created from certified renewable sources. It has been accredited by the Cruelty-Free International Leaping Bunny programme and the Vegan Society.

The formulas are lightweight and gentle, designed to nourish the skin and strengthen the barrier. Stella says “our products promote long-term skin beauty and vitality, what we call skin sustainability. It supports skin’s regeneration and protection functions”.

Having used Stella beauty routine for a few days yet , I can say that I can already notice positive changes to my complexion that looks even and brighter. The appearance of fine lines has been reduced and it gave me a neater, fresher and healthier overall look.

I would definitely recommend to trying for yourself, as Stella is offering a very affordable discovery kit and a little product goes a very long way.

For the travellers, the travel kit is refillable and super cute!

Lastly, I would like to mention that it took three years of hard work to produce this line of responsible, natural and very effective skincare whose very specific scent, created by Francis Kurkdjian, has been inspired by Stella’s memories of growing up in Scotland. It is called High Cliff. Let’s jump into sustainable and regenerative skincare!
