Some recipes teased my palate and imagination like the  Beet and Carrot Blini Bites ; the Roasted Butterbeans and Cherry Tomatoes ; the Reviving Chilli, Lemon, Ginger soup ; the Smoked Tofu Pad Thai ; the Frozen Coconut Key Lime Pie and the Pecan Brownies, YUM. “Feeding creativity” is a celebration of conviviality and eating together, illustrated by beautiful photographs of talented creative people and beautiful dishes. The concept is original and clever.

“Feeding creativity: A Cookbook for Friends and family is Mary’s third standalone cookbook after publishing “Food: Vegetarian Home Cooking” in 2012 and “At my Table: Vegetarian Feasts for Family and Friends” in 2015. Mary’s plant-based recipes are delicious and easy to make. Her passion for food and vegetarian cooking began in early childhood, growing up in a vegetarian family. Her mum Linda was her main cooking influence along with her dad Paul, who were both notable vegetarian activists.

Mary is also a Global Ambassador for Meat Free Monday, launched with Paul and her younger sister Stella in 2009 in the UK. Meat Free Monday is a not-for-profit global campaign that aims to raise awareness of the negative impact of animal agriculture and industrial fishing. It encourages people not to eat meat on Mondays (or more generally to cut down their meat consumption) to improve their health and the health of the planet.
